Disconnected cuts have been big with short to mid-length ladies cuts for some time… but it has taken a bit more time to gain acceptance for guy cuts. You do get styling versatitliy and interesting shapes with disconnection.  It takes a different mind set on the part of your hair cutter.  most cutters are trained to connect and blend EVERYTHING.
